met up with my good friends..jason, yongheng, chai huat and wei ming. supposed to be just jason, yh and ch celebrating my birthday kindda like a "private" celebration because the reason they give me was because we met 5 years plus ago in our very first cg and from there we click and are so call the remaining survivors of 5 years plus ago. so was kindda surprise when wei ming turned up..nonetheless i am super thankful to these 4 guys ard me.
i told them so sorry..wanna push our appointment earlier because i wanna spend my 21st with my cgm. they agreed and nv complain much as well. very accomodating. well is kindda memory lane being with them..the different paths that we took. both yh and ch are ppl whom i knew since sec sch days and jason was the one who mentor and help me stay in church.
the dinner did not start well because as usual we were not decisive on where to eat. met at 6.30 - 6.45 and finally decide on fish & co at 8pm. that aside i feel that i really enjoy their company. after fish & co we left for dessert. i was clueless abt everything..all they say was they wanna have dessert and i don't really wanna eat. they suggested swensen but realised it was too ex so we move over to secret recipe. we were seated down when suddenly yh took the menu and went up to the manager and start ordering i was laughing with the rest of the guys because usually is the waiter will come and serve us and not us going to them.
when he returned he said wah all pang seh only i buy..little did i know they actually order a cake to celeb my b'dae. i did not know until i saw the waitress serving us with a candle on the cake. ok i am super shock but i have learn my lesson so on friday i don think i will be so shock haha unless i forget. well i really appreciate them alot..they wanted to go swensen order one big cake for me but well i totally understand well is the thoughts that count.
although something happened earlier but well what the heck..just gonna enjoyed the rest of the week.
is really in church i found all my good friends..well my b'day wasn't really of much significant because in my family we don really make a big hoo ha out of it. when we were young all we had was a cake a birthday song a present thats all at times don't have also but now each year my parents give us red packet.
so to me every year my b'day is jus another b'day. but ever since i come to church well my b'day change alot and i wasn't expecting much for my 21st but my good friends all insist must make it a memorable one when all i wanted was a simple dinner thats all.
well today was my dad's birthday as well. tmrw is valentine day we take a break. on friday me and twin bro b'day and we will just go out and celeb it individually.

saturday..was out with char, val, van, jas and dan. went to catch sweeney todd. the movie was ok only. i also dunno how to comment abt the movie. after the movie we went to manhattan fish to have our lunch cum dinner.
we hang ard at orchard area for a little while more before we decide to head to holland v to chill out. walk back to cathay to get my car. wah quite pai seh..van and jas i think decide on N.Y.D.C and when we were seated down they decide they don wan to chill at there and wah walk out of the restaurant jus like that. me and dan we were quite pai seh i think the next time we frequent holland v we mus cover our faces and avoid nydc.
in the end we settle at hagen daz. even though the food was expensive but the fellowship with dan, van and jas was priceless. i mus admit i was super clueless. abt 10 plus jas say she need to go get a cake for her ertch who was my ex cgl. she wanted to get hagen daz cake but they don sell one slice so me and her went over to starbuck to get it and that was when i saw pamela. quite surprised to see her there.
so jas was asking dunno wad cake to get..i was telling her my personal preference cheese cake. and she say ok lor cheese cake.
left holland v ard 10.45pm because need to rush down to pick char up who was somewhere ard my place. char also quite funny..she msg me when i was at hagen daz "what time will you be going home", her next msg was "oh was wondering can you give me a lift home", i reply her say "ok can no prob" and her reply was "really ah. blar blar".
was telling the gang that i think i shld send one back that read "no la of course. u really believe i will come down and send u home ah." a reply that will joke with her. but decide not to. first time have to rush from one place to another.
yesterday after service we had our cg reunion steamboat at dan and jas house. halfway had to accompany val take her car and guide her. when we were reaching back i was thinking o no die will they suddenly celeb my b'dae and then ask me do sabo because char don wan to celeb after svc because she wanna sabo me. but nth happen leh. so i jus sat down and finally i was thinking can eat already and totally forgotten abt my birthday.
i was in the dining room and most of them were not ard. when i was abt to call van and val aye come eat leh. the whole grp appear and they celeb my birthday. really appreciate all of them. all my close friends were there to celeb my birthday. although is jus a mini one but i think they planning more on the actual one on friday.
mus make special mention:
1) thanks van for getting the cg b'day gift. no worries i will wear it this weekend when i serve.
2) thanks sher for doing such a wonderful card. i had a good laugh when i saw the design because it was creatively done. and i did not have such a card before. even my bro was asking real one anot got party ah ur b'day which is not true.
3) thanks jas and dan. i really got dupe by u all. actually bought the birthday cake and let me choose also. i think this shld be the most ex cake the cg ever bought i guess.
next day mus go and help jackson out with his valentine gift. dunno where to get transparent box. sigh..mus go ard shop for it. nvm help and be help back.

receive a msg on sat night from si hui that she wanna meet me at chorus board area on sunday. was thinking hmm..wad is it abt. did not suspect anything at all. probably 10 mins before svc was abt to start receive a call from my ic and i immediately rush back and they say have some impt announcement to make. and the cake was out and they were actually celebrating my birthday along with sheila, serene and another guy i think his name is alan.
really quite surprise..did not expect. i mean i thought maybe my team will celeb for me on the week of my b'dae since that week i will be serving. receive $40 capitaland voucher which can be use in any shopping centre under the management of capitaland. really wanna thank the ministry for celebrating my b'dae and also my team. really find it a pleasure to serve with them. enjoying myself in this ministry.
well another 10 more days..
dunno what the rest will do. only know that chai huat ask me out go celeb say go restaurant eat haha..but also dunno real anot. anyway still long. o yes cg will celeb for me after service this week. char quite funny last tuesday asked so how what you want for b'dae so direct haha. first time can request for what i one.
