after service on sunday, went in to JB. because of me, we enter there late at 3pm and mess up our schedule. so sorry. spent abt 4 hours at secret recipe while waiting for the sisters to get their hair done. it felt like eternity...so when val receive a msg from van that they were done it was like i was elected as the president of a nation (ok i am exagerating).left city square around 7 plus. charmaine reminded the group not to talk when we got in the cab if not they will know that we are tourist and charge us more. val commented something that me and van were dress so nicely confirm know that we were not locals. i was leading one grp and char was leading another grp to the hawker centre where we were having seafood dinner. in the end my grp all of us were conversing in mandarin. along the way i bargain with the cab driver about the price to get to the haweker centre. don know whether ppl know abt it..i am not one who like to bargain because is just not me. if this is the price i will settle for it. and i was the only guy in the cab so i was kindda expecting that one of the sisters will bargain but no one do it. so when i finish bargaining which i fail haha..i ask how come no one wanna do it? imelda replied "i wanna see how you bargain". when we reach the hawker centre i asked char so how much was her cab she said it was 6 ringgit. and mine was 8 ringgit. further tell me that what val said could be true. well but in the end when we were going back to custom the cab driver charge my grp 6 ringgit so don't think what val said was true. just that i got into a wrong cab.
that was the amount of food we ordered. my duty that day was to be my cg tour guide. thank God that ben was there if not i think i would feel out of place because that day there were 6 girls. enjoy going there for dinner cause is cheap.
was asking char whether she wanna catch sweeney todd she say yep. she was mentioning about going JB to watch. but i guess nah probably the next few month tried not to step into there. need a break away from JB.
journey home was horrid. getting through custom is easy but waiting for the bus to get out of JB and woodland is tough. cleared custom at 9 plus and i only reached home at 12 midnight. the yellow bus took eternity to come due to the jam.

Went to JB yesterday with Charmaine and Daniel. Few hours before we were suppose to meet, received a msg from Charmaine reminding me to bring my passport along. Realise that I am the only one whom she remind must be she think that tat kwek is a forgetful person thats why i receive this message.I must admit I kindda look forward to go because yesterday was the 2nd time I ever entered JB and it was the first trip out of Singapore in 4 years. Last time round was to Japan. Main purpose there for Charmaine is to do her hair. Reached there about 4pm. Went to search for the saloon but cannot find. In the Char just asked us to go do our stuffs while she go look for the saloon. Was messaging Pamela, she told me a bit too late to go in at that time and to come back at night. Spark fear cause I thought not enough time to conquer City Square while me and Dan were having our tea at Mac. Off we were after spending some time at Mac. Nothing fantastic at City Square. By about 6 plus both of us were asking one another where is Charmaine because it was quite boring at City Square. Nth much for me to buy..though Dan wanted to get this shoes but because I was not interested and also we did not know what we are going to have for dinner so he stop short in buying the shoes. The next time we go I am pretty sure he is going to get it. Finally met up with Charmaine close to 8pm after a fruitless search for her. We really spend the remaining time searching each level for her. Alast we fail. Well spend probably 30 mins there because Char wanted to walk around. Spent most of my cash at Secret Recipe. Took a cab out to this hawker which remind me so much of Tiong Bahru old market. Dan was telling me about the seafood dinner they had last time and was hoping Char would be in the mood for seafood. We ordered, crayfish, cereal prawn, vege, hao jian, sambal sotong, fried kway tiao and satay. Quite a spread and is cheap. After dinner Char wanted to go for massage but reckon that is not worth it and mayb also because both dan and myself use up all our cash. Finally left JB at about 9 plus and head back to Singapore.In the end i still feel the whole trip is worth it. Will plan one either for next sunday or on the week before chinese new year after sunday service go in and have a CNY meal together with the cg that would be nice.Labels: JB
