My team and the place i am working during the zone camp. Its been some time since I last blog. Was reminded about one incident during the camp. Faji who was leading praise and I think they last min wanted one song and was pondering whether I have the lyric for the song. I told him not to worry about it I have the lyric and can do it for him and from the stage he shouted "tat kwek you're the man!" Point is...when I first started out as director for chorus board I made a mistake and after service the service director came and talk to us. He made this statement which I will always remember "whatever pastor wants we should try to give pastor what he wants and not put up wrong slides when pastor already say is the wrong details on the slide." For me, whatever my leaders want me to do I will try my best to give it to them help them run the service, the zone meeting smoothly and not like give them another problem by telling them I am not able to do this not able to do that.
The last 2 weeks went to catch a couple of movies "National Treasure" and "I am Legend" with Charmaine and my cgm. Really enjoy the time with them. After movie we will usually go fellowship over dinner. Spent some quality time together. Kindda rare when Charmaine msg me say when you wanna catch this movie. I feel last month and this month really draw closer to her because of her sch hol and she will also make an effort to come and join us for fellowship and movies. Guess that is not much movie that attract me unless Charmaine throw in some movie titles if not don't think will visit the theatre. Thought that Rambo 4 would be nice but the trailer really turn me off. Hopefully this website have the movie and I will just watch it at home.
Christmas service..I think I really step out of my comfort zone. Was suppose to serve 3 services. Sunday was suppose to meet my friend and bring him. But after saturday service, Laura made a comment she said "we really lack of manpower" and "I know that bringing friends is important but we also need people to run the service smoothly so the friends who come can enjoy themselves." Decide to msg my IC that I can serve. Although yes I really still have a desire to become a cgl but decide that I need to help out. Did not regret helping out although after serving for 4 services I was like physically very tired. But is all worth it!
Had our cg thanksgiving just last friday. Although this year is on cg level but could see it was a success. Prior before that daniel and myself we sacrifice our sleep went to do our shopping at 2am at Prime and SHop n Save. Spent the next few hours at dan's house preparing the food. Well to me although is like very tired but probably this is my way of saying thanks to the cg for a wonderful year together and my turn to contribute to the cg and serving my brothers and sisters. I feel this year thanksgiving minus the awards was still a success give you the family feeling. After the whole thing a few of us stayed back to clean up val's house. Sent Charmaine home because she asked me can I sent her home cause she feel lazy to take bus or train. Walked home and get my car sent her home for the first time and she say I pass. My driving pass and she feel safe cept for the part where I took my time to go to the right lane and my car just stop at PIE. That was the first time I sent her home after that when we were on our way to upper thomson for prata my car was beside michelle chia and her boyfriend shaun chen car. Upon reaching there saw joscelin yeo. Just had a mini fellowship with jasmine and her brother dan. Sent them home before I proceed home.
Yesterday after service, waited with dan to pass something to Pamela at the same time Dan was waiting for his interview with the DFO. I think I shld have just stay at door 2 and not step out. Upon reaching vivo to meet up with charmaine and the cg. Charmaine start teasing me. At least I know is just friend to friend teasing haha. Spent half the day there and the next half at orchard with jackson only to get a present for dan.
This year, did not receive much present. I think this is the first time I receive a card from charmaine the content she wrote was very touching just looking forward to 2008 working with her and helping her. To my good friend daniel was surprise to really receive a present from him in fact that is the only present i receive. Wanted to get a t-shirt but either no time to go shop or they don have the size but is like so nice the timing receive a christmas present from him. Not only that receive cookies from him and jas. Last person to serena..for this card she wrote and design and put in a photo frame..its been a blast serving the cg together with u.
Well time to prepare for tonight cg. Organise this last gathering for the cgm. A tradition which started 5 and half years ago. Just spent the last day of the year together with the cg for a day of fun and fellowship.
